About Tony Cox
Whatever guitar playing dream you have, I will turn that dream into hands-on reality. This is no idle threat :-)~Your friends and family will jaw-drop...
I have been teaching professionally since 1971. In the ensuing years I have taught literally thousands of students, conducted many workshops and hosted guitar camps and festivals.
I like to tell my guitar students that the objective is to not only be a great guitar player but in the process become musicians. The genres I use to teach with are, folk, rock, pop, blues, jazz and classical. I also teach African guitar styles.
Those wanting to dive deep into theory and really getting to the nitty-gritty of how music works, can study reading, chord theory, harmony and improvisation.
I currently have an online body of students from several countries. They tune in for their weekly lessons via Skype. If you reside in the Lancaster area, I can teach you face-to-face.
Those who require accredited and graded guitar lessons can do so with me through Registered Guitar Teachers (RGT) from grades 1 through to 8 and beyond to licentiate.
