About Darren A

Darren has been playing for 10 years and teaching drums for the past 7 years . He has a first class honours Bachelor degree in Music Performance and Practice and one of the modules in his final year was teaching, and a few in practice and performance. His playing experience is vast from festivals (playing to over 5000 people), charity events, functions and cruise ships, to playing along sponsored by KMFM, on road shows in Maidstone and Chatham high street.

Teaching in Drums
Darren teaches vocals for beginners and advanced of all age. Drum lessons with Darren

Genre
Darren teaches most genres of music. Specialising in Rock, Pop and Funk but has experience in all genres of music.

First lesson
Darren always takes a starting point of the student into consideration and will adapt each lesson according to the student's wishes, needs and aims. Darren's unique teaching methods aim to make sure lessons are both entertaining and educational as when the student is enjoying the lesson, they are more likely to retain the information from the lesson.

Beginners
For beginners and children one should bring a pair of drumsticks for the lessons. Drum books may also be recommended by Darren if it relates to the topics being taught.
