Digory P is an accompanist, conductor and teacher with experience working in primary and secondary schools and teaching one-to-one piano lessons. Digory is extremely passionate about music education and about inspiring young musicians to pursue music! He is a fun and engaging teacher that values listening to his pupils and he loves to see them succeed and achieve their goals.

Digory studied at Leeds College of music and gained a first-class degree. He has worked with young musicians at Leeds Youth Opera, through the Leeds Lieder education department and with Soundsteps music school. Whilst in Leeds Digory founded an opera society and worked with a number of choirs, including Opera North's Sing ON Choirs and the Battersea Choral Society in London.

Teaching in Piano
Digory teaches Piano to students of all ages from beginner level to advanced. Digory’s background and speciality lies in classical piano. Digory will help students focus on piano technique to enable them to express themselves musically and enjoy playing the piano. He will work with each student to achieve their goals; whether it is to get to grips with the basics of piano playing, improve pianistically or just to enjoy their instrument.

First Lesson
In the first lesson with Digory, students can expect to discuss exactly what they want to get out of their piano lessons! Digory believes it is important to listen to what students aim to achieve and tailor lessons accordingly. Students can take graded ABRSM exams with Digory or work towards more flexible goals.

Beginners
For beginner students, Digory will have a book for the student to use for the first few lessons, alternatively all students are welcome to bring any material they wish to work on.
