First Lesson

In the first lesson Elspeth will ensure that the student feels comfortable and relaxed. A singing lesson always starts with a vocal warm up, we would then work through a song that the student knows well, or learn a new song if they so wish. In a Music Theory lesson Elspeth always tries to cover the basics, allowing the students to write things down and ask as many questions as possible.

Beginners

For Music Theory lessons students will need to buy educational material in advance of the lessons, Elspeth will be able to guide you in which books will be best suited. For Singing Lessons if the student isn’t working towards an exam then no material will need to be purchased in advance.
