About Emma G
I've been playing music since I was 7 years old, and I started teaching when I was 16. I've seen plenty of students through their ABRSM Grades (both Jazz and Classical). My approach to teaching is a little different - I don't like to use books that often. Instead, I prefer to teach my students to become all-round musicians, rather than just being able to play the pieces they've learned in their books. My passion is jazz and improvisation - I'll work with you on improving your musical ear and your theory, enabling you to eventually be able to play anything you set your mind to.
I have a First Class Bachelor of Music from the London Centre of Contemporary Music, and a Diploma in Higher Education in Music (Jazz) from Leeds College of Music.
If you want to become a musician with a great ear, who can hear a song and play it, then I'd love to hear from you!
