About Janet T
Janet is an experienced singing tutor with a Jazz and Musical Theatre education. She has 8 years of experience teaching and coaching people of all ages to become confident singers. Janet offers a warm, encouraging and empowering learning environment for people to find their singing voice. Janet specialises in confidence training and overcoming stage fright. If you suffer from a fear of singing in front of people, Janet will be the perfect match for you.
Teaching in vocals
Janet teaches vocals from beginners to advanced students of all ages.
Vocal lessons with Janet include:

Teaching in piano
Janet teaches pop/rock piano from beginners to advanced students of all ages. Most suited for singers who want to learn to accompany themselves.
Piano lessons include:
- Technique
- Different Styles and Genres
- Repertoire
- Musicality
- Guidance for practice
- Notation, sight-reading and theory
- If desired, preparation for graded examinations
Genre
Janet teaches all genres, but specialises in pop/jazz and confidence training through performance.
First lesson
The most important thing in the first lesson is to find out your voice type, style and level you’re at. That will be the primary focus of the first lesson. At the end of the first lesson you will leave with detailed knowledge of where your voice sits, what type of songs are most suitable for you and what elements of your voice need most training/focus. This will give us a great basis for planning the following lessons.
Beginners
Beginners of all ages are most welcome to learn with Janet. Janet’s method of teaching has proved to unlock great singing voices even for students who started off saying “I am tone-deaf!” or “I don’t have a natural talent”. Janet believes that anyone can learn music, the question is, are you brave enough to try?
