About Josephine C
Josephine is a teacher based in Islington. Before moving to London, she studied vocal performance at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. She has had some experience teaching young pupils when she was a teenager. She took singing, piano, music theory and recorder lessons (individual and group) and is keen to make sure her students receive the same quality of tuition which enabled her to become a professional musician.
Josephine is based in Islington. She is available weekends and occasional weekday evenings.
Josephine teaches singing to all ages and stages. These will include work on technique, breathing exercises, languages and repertoire. Josephine can guide pupils on graded exams (ABRSM and Trinity) as well as auditions for undergraduate degrees. Teaching singing is about listening, feeling and communicating. As a teacher, Josephine will advise pupils on ways to build a stronger technique, while listening to what it sounds like and asking questions about what it feels like. This way, technique will be built in a holistic approach.
