Louis has been in the world of music since he was 6 years old. He took up teaching as a side project at the age of 19, and after completing his conservatoire studies in The Netherlands, boosted his teaching practice substantially. He has experience teaching people of all ages and all levels, from first-timers to conservatoire level. His art is to guide students through their own personal discovery of music and drums.

Genre
Louis’ interest has always been in drumming from around the world. He plays a variety of genres, as well as a variety of percussion instruments he has picked up from a number of drumming cultures. Academically, he has specialised in Jazz Drums.

First Lesson
A first lesson with Louis will be used primarily for you to get to know each other, and for Louis to learn about your interests, goals and capacities (if any) on the drums. It will also be a chance to address any doubts or queries you may have concerning drums, music, or the learning process.

Beginners
Beginners of all ages are absolutely welcome to start learning the drums with Louis. He has experience initiating young and mature people on the drums, and has learnt from experience that music can bring joy to everyone who engages with it.
