The lesson will begin with a chat and simple questions to get to know the student and what they want to gain out of lessons. We will then look at an introduction to the instrument, correct technique and a basic goal to take away to work on. Oliver always makes sure to help inspire and make the student feel comfortable and by having clear set goals to work towards achieving the best possible experience of learning music.
The most important aspect for beginners is to get straight into learning practical music. Students are shown what to practice between each lesson. Correct technique learnt from the start is crucial for future success but, importantly, the lessons are always kept fun and interactive.
We will look at advanced techniques linked to your preferred styles of playing. We might work towards graded exams if these suit you. More advanced theory concepts can be incorporated and we will perform music that challenge and stretch your abilities.
Please feel free to write to me if you have any questions or if you are interested in signing up for lessons. I look forward to hearing from you!
