After graduating with a BMus Hons Degree in Music Performance in London, Ollie relocated to Bristol where he plays in various projects. Ollie has been playing the guitar for 12 years and can teach beginners and advanced students alike up to a grade 8 standard.

Teaching Guitar
Ollie teaches guitar for beginners and advanced of all ages. Guitar lessons with Ollie includes:
- Chord and scale knowledge
- Warm up exercises and techniques
- Note reading (If Desired)
- Improvisation Techniques
- Learning songs/ tips on learning by ear

Ollie has an eclectic taste in music and specialises in Soul, Rnb, Rock, Blues, Funk and Jazz.

First lesson
In the first Lesson Ollie will try to find out as much as he can regarding what the student aims to achieve so that he can start to plan a clear course of progress for the individual. It is also important for Ollie to find out what kind of learner the student is, whether they prefer to learn the technicalities and details first or whether they and better suited focusing more on their intuition.

Beginners
For beginners it is important to establish what they actually want to learn, what they already know and like about music and what they hope to achieve. The first lesson will usually involve learning a couple of simple chords and scales followed by playing a simple tune within those chords and scales.
Getting a beginner to play along with their favourite songs or on the right track to within a relativity short space of time is very achievable with the right guidance. I'll help them to establish their own way of learning by encouraging them to use their ear and by reading basic charts.
