About Rachael C

Rachael is a mezzo soprano based in London with an extensive teaching and performance career. After graduating from Leeds College of Music in 2016 with a first class honours undergraduate degree, Rachael has continued her learning with Julie Kennard, in preparation for a Masters in Opera Performance. Rachael teaches across London both privately and in schools, where she runs workshops in musicianship and performance.

- Performance techniques
- Guidance and advice based on building confidence
- Graded exams if appropriate

Teaching in Cello

- Playing some fun and interesting pieces to challenge and improve your playing ability

Music Theory
Although Rachael teaches all of her singing and cello pupils music theory in each lesson, sometimes dedicated time is needed - especially when approaching an exam! She is also happy to coach students who study with other tutors if the tutor does not run coaching sessions themselves. Please check with your teacher though, as they know you and how you learn best!

Genre
Rachael teaches most genres of singing and cello.

The First Lesson
First lessons begin with Rachael finding out what experience (if any) you have and what you would like to achieve. All of her lessons are tailored to your individual needs, meaning that your goals are the focus of the sessions.

Beginners
For beginner singers and children one should expect to buy some materials (such as music books) to aid learning and practice.
For beginner cellists and children you will need to source your own cello....
