Toby is an experienced contemporary music teacher, with qualifications from the Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford. He has a wealth of experience in teaching guitar and vocals to students at all levels from age 7 and up. Toby offers a friendly, encouraging teaching environment and promises a great balance between achieving goals and having fun!

Teaching in Vocals
Toby teaches vocals from beginners to advanced students from age 7 and above.

Vocal lessons with Toby include:

Genre
Toby teaches (almost) all genres, but specialises in contemporary music, including pop, rock, funk, soul and folk

First lesson
Before the first lesson, Toby will make sure he understands the student’s needs and will provide a rough outline of how the lesson will proceed. The lesson will begin with a brief chat and will then run at a pace that works for the student. The first lesson in voice will be a vocal analysis session, running a scale over the bridge in order to diagnose any vocal habits and begin working towards a balanced voice.

Beginners
Beginners from age 7 are most welcome to learn with Toby. Toby believes that anyone can learn music and his teaching has a proven track record of unlocking students’ potentials.
