About Daisy D
Daisy is a teacher based in Chesterfield. She has been teaching the Piano and Violin for 4 years from home and has previously been an active member in the local Leicestershire Music Service’s youth orchestras from the age of 10. She graduated with a degree in Music from the University of Huddersfield in 2015 and has experience of teaching beginners to advanced level from students aged 5 through to adults.
Teaching in Violin and Piano
Since starting a music business from home in June this year, Daisy delivers relaxed, fun lessons which demonstrates her passion for teaching instrumental lessons. Students will receive a well-rounded knowledge of music, including the workings of the instrument, understanding the way that music is notated and how to produce different tones. Graded exams are also an option (ABRSM and Trinity Music Boards), as well as Music Theory lessons up to Grade 5.
Genre
Daisy teaches most genres and is more than happy to support a student with music that they may want to bring to the lesson but specialises in classical music.
First Lesson
For a first lesson, every student should bring a small notebook with them so Daisy can write helpful practice tips and page numbers for exercises within the music book. The first lesson involves having an informal chat about what students would like to achieve and answer any questions. Before we even open a music book, we will play some fun games to become more acquainted with our instrument!
Beginners
Whether playing an instrument is brand new to you or perhaps you’re a little rusty and want to start lessons again, Daisy will ensure that the lessons are at your pace, relaxed and of course, fun!
