About Isabelle
Isabelle is an experienced music teacher alongside being a professional soprano singer. She completed a degree in classical music at Leeds College of Music, studying singing with a secondary focus on piano. Isabelle has several years of experience teaching individuals and groups at all levels and at all ages. Isabelle coaches students working in all different styles and genres and is so excited to collaborate towards students individual goals, whether that be music examinations, auditions, school music requirements or just to improve confidence. She is very experienced at coaching students towards taking music exams, and working towards music scholarships and auditions. Isabelle has the most experience with ABRSM, Trinity College London, and LCM Music Theatre exam boards, however she has also worked on RockSchool exams with students in the past and is generally happy to work with students on the most suitable exam board for them.
Teaching in vocals
Isabelle teaches vocals for individuals and groups from beginner level all the way to very advanced students. Isabelle loves exploring new styles and genres and always ensures the material in each lesson is suitable to the students needs. Vocal lessons include:
- Warm up techniques
- Posture, relaxation, and breath control technique
- Voice placement exercises
- Phrasing and musical expression technique
- Possibility of working towards music exams (if the student would like to)
Teaching in piano
Isabelle is very experienced at teaching piano students of all ages and at all levels. In order to help students get the most out of their piano lessons. She loves collaborating to arrange students’ favourite songs/music at a level that will be fun but challenging. Isabelle's piano lessons include:
- Music reading
- Rhythm reading
- Fingering exercises
- Fun and varied repertoire
- Possible combination of singing and piano
- Musical expression technique
- Possibility of working towards music exams (if the student would like to)
