Jacob is an experienced, keen and professional teacher who is extremely passionate about educating and encouraging drumming and percussion with students of all ages. Having taught drumming for a Year and a half at a variety of music centres and schools, Jacob offers a fun and focused learning environment where students needs and goals are catered for in the form of tailored lessons and an approachable attitude.

Teaching in Drums and Percussion
Jacob teaches Drumming and Percussion from beginners to advanced students of all ages.

Drum and Percussion lessons include:
- Playing by ear
- Technique
- Rudiments
- Time keeping
- Feel and pulse
- Musical expression and performance
- Detailed home study plans
- Notation, sight reading and theory
- If desired, preparation for RSL graded examinations

Genre
Jacob can teach all genres, but specialises in Rock, Pop, Funk, and Metal.

First Lesson
Before the first lesson, Jacob will make sure he understands the student’s needs and will provide a rough outline of how the lesson will proceed. The lesson will begin with a brief introduction for teacher and student, and will then proceed at a comfortable pace, focusing on basics, or building on what the student can already play if they have past experience of Drumming.

Beginners
Beginners of all ages and abilities are welcome to learn with Jacob. Jacob believes education and expression of drumming and music as a whole is an opportunity that should be available to everyone, regardless of age, ability, or background, and takes great value in progressing the musical journey of students.
