Jamie is a Guitarist based in Salford Manchester. He has an extensive set of guitar skills and experience as a touring musician. Jamie's original music has gained global recognition which has allowed him to tour the UK and parts of Europe as a solo artist. Jamie completed a degree in music performance at the prestigious BIMM Manchester institute and he is passionate about music and teaching which is evident by the great pride and dedication he takes in his work.

Teaching in Guitar
Jamie teaches Acoustic and Electric guitar to all ages and levels of skill. Lessons are catered to the individuals goals and interests and most importantly will be fun. Jamie has an extensive knowledge in music theory, arrangement, improvisation, tone, performing and composition.

Genre
Jamie teaches a variety of genres including rock, blues, pop, folk and fingerstyle. Jamie specialises in 'fingerstyle' which allows students to play the acoustic guitar at a high standard. Extensive techniques in this genre involve using the guitar as a percussion instrument as well as a guitar which is not only fun but extremely useful and allows guitarists to be different.

First Lesson
Your first lesson will give you the opportunity to explain what exactly it is you want to develop as a player, what inspired you to start playing and the level you wish to achieve. All beginner students will be able to play 3 chords by the end of their first lesson. Students are encourage to bring their own guitar if they have one but if they do not, a guitar can be provided. Students are encouraged to relax and enjoy lessons as the guitar is supposed to be fun!
