About Pablo S
Pablo is a passionate music tutor with a Bachelor’s degree in Music. He has a lot of experience in teaching drums to students of all ages. Pablo’s lessons are best described as a time where all students are encouraged and supported to be the best they can be. The lessons are always positive, and carefully planned to meet each student’s end goals.
Drum Lessons
Pablo teaches Drums to students of all ages.
Lesson content will vary depending on each student’s aims, but normally include:
- Accompanying a band: Ability to play in live contexts.
- Technique: Exercises to help with speed and coordination.
- Repertoire: Learning songs chosen by students, ability to play contemporary songs.
- Notation, sight-reading and theory: Understanding how to write and read music notation.
- Preparation for graded examinations (if desired).
Guitar lessons
Pablo teaches Guitar (acoustic, electric and bass) from beginners to intermediate students of all ages.
Lesson content will vary depending on each student’s aims, but normally include:
- Music performance: Chords, Strumming, Playing contemporary songs.
- Techniques: Picking, Plucking, Scales and other exercises.
- Music reading and accompanying a band.
- Preparation for graded examinations (if desired).
Genre
Pablo specializes in contemporary music but has good knowledge and teaches (almost) all other music genres.
First Lesson
The first lesson with Pablo consists of understanding the student’s goals, therefore, it will always begin with a friendly chat! Pablo will then present a rough outline of the lesson, while explaining how that will help the student achieve their goal effectively. From there, Pablo will ensure that lessons will run at a pace that suits the student’s needs whilst keeping them engaged and challenged. Beginners of all ages and musical background are welcome to take lessons, as Pablo is experienced in teaching students with no former musical background/knowledge and maintains that every student has the potential to become a musician.
