Tom is professional musician working in Sheffield. After graduating with a first in music from the University of Sheffield, Tom splits his time between performing saxophone with his many jazz and soul bands, leading vocal workshops with community groups and writing and recording solo work. With a broad range of experiences and an infectious passion for music, Tom's teaching style is all about encouraging you on your musical journey.

Teaching
Tom teaches singing, saxophone and piano to all ages of students. Lessons will be fun and encouraging as Tom is adept at making students feel comfortable whilst making music. He uses interesting, creative exercises and repetition to improve skills. A healthy combination of encouragement and discipline ensure that all Tom's students improve whilst enjoying themselves.

Lessons are available for students of all abilities and pathways. Students who want to study for exams or auditions are most welcome, Tom values goal setting and structured practice very highly for those who have a target. Tom is also very experienced with beginners and those who wish to play solely for enjoyment. Whatever your needs, Tom can tailor the course and individual lessons to fit the individual.

Beginners
Students only need to bring themselves to a lesson. The first session will involve introductions to Tom and your instrument and will get you playing or singing with Tom early on so you can start enjoying making music.
