My name is Yui, I hold a PhD in Music Education from Tokyo University of the Arts. I specialise in early years music education. I have been teaching for 10 years to children as young as 3. I believe the most important thing in learning music is to have fun and be able to share music with others! I will try to always teach the student their favourite/most familiar songs, even if we make a simplified version together.

Yui is based in South East London. She also has slots available after school in East and North East London.

First lesson
For beginners and children, I will run an introduction session. I’ll explain the basics of their instrument, and discuss which songs they might want to play in the future. And we can try a basic song in the first lesson!
